History:
The program was launched in December 1977 as one of the ethnic programs on station SJUS at the University of Saskatchewan by Sigrid Kirmse and Margret Asmuss. For technical reasons, the program was reduced from one hour to half an hour. The radio station moved from the MUB to the Education Building of the university. Almost from the beginning, programs from Deutsche Welle could be included in the broadcasts. After the station was closed in 1995 for financial reasons, Sigrid and Reinhold continued the program at the community radio station CFCR. The broadcast time is still the same as back then: from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. every Sunday, you can listen to German entertainment on the radio.
Geschichte:
Das Programm wurde im Dezember 1977 als eines der ethnischen Programme beim Sender SJUS der U of S von Sigrid Kirmse und Margret Asmuss begonnen. Das Programm wurde aus technischen Gründen von einer Stunde auf ein halbe Stunde reduziert. Von der MUB zog die Radiostation in das Education Building der Universität um. Nahezu von Anfang an konnten Programme der Deutschen Welle in die Sendungen einbezogen werden. Nachdem der Sender 1995 aus finanziellen Gründen geschlossen wurde, begannen Sigrid und Reinhold das Programm beim kommunalen Radiosender CFCR weiterzuführen. Die Sendezeit ist heute noch die gleiche wie damals, von 13 Uhr bis 15 Uhr gibt es jeden Sonntag deutsche Unterhaltung im Radio.
