Special Volunteer Award & Youth Award

Proud winners of the Special Volunteer Award & Youth Award

Every year SGC recognizes volunteers that have been generous with their time, effort, and talents to promote German culture in the province. Volunteers – the heart of our community!

The SGC Special Volunteer Awards have been presented to outstanding volunteers in Saskatchewan’s German-Canadian community since 2000. The Council’s member organizations can submit an application for a special volunteer from their organization.

The SGC Special Volunteer Awards are handed out at the Special Volunteer Awards Celebrations during the annual Treffpunkt in June.

How to nominate?

If you would like to nominate a deserving volunteer of your organization for the SGC Youth Award or SGC Special Volunteer Award, please fill in the form in spring 2024 and attach two letters of reference from individuals or organizations. Questions or ready to submit your application? Contact us!
