Muenster – St. Peter’s Cathedral

St. Peter’s Cathedral near Muenster, is an ornate cathedral dating from 1910. It features paintings by Berthold von Imhoff, German-born artist from St. Walburg, Saskatchewan. The interior is graced by 80 life-size figures, portraits of saints, stain glass windows and religious scenes.
St. Peter’s Parish was founded in 1903 with pioneers, among them Benedictine monks of the Order of St. Benedict (OSB) who came to provide German-speaking priests for the pioneers.
